During the COVID 19 pandemic, he served more than 70 thousand needy people with prepared food, ration, and daily essentials. In addition, he also donated more than a hundred oxygen concentrators to the state government of Rajasthan addressing the crisis of the time.

Mr Kothari has been spreading the light of education across the city. What started in 1918 with just 4 girl students, Subodh Shiksha Samiti now has 17 institutions ranging from Play Group to MBA and P.G. Colleges for boys and girls imparting education to more than 33 thousand students annually. He also established KGK Academy which is one of the recognized institutes by KGK, offering well-structured and relevant courses in the gemstone and diamond space. From the time of inception, the institute has trained 5000 students, making them experts in the field of coloured gems, diamonds and jewelry.
